We discuss the property's condition, your priorities and budget. An energy efficiency professional evaluates energy upgrades and, where appropriate, an iSFP.
Establish the funding route before starting
The programme, technical requirements and applications are reviewed before work begins. Contracts and start dates must follow the relevant funding rules.
Coordinate the different trades
Insulation, windows, roofing and building systems are planned together at their interfaces. Construction follows the agreed technical specifications.
Document the completed work
We provide records for our construction services. Depending on the programme, the authorised professional prepares the BAFA TPN record or KfW BnD confirmation for the subsequent funding process.

The BMWE gives an example for a single-family home with an iSFP and €60,000 in eligible expenditure: a €10,500 grant, calculated as 15% of the first €30,000 and 20% of the next €30,000. This is not a funding commitment for your property. The measure, eligibility conditions and programme in force at application determine the actual award.

Application and project-start rules vary by programme. Clarify the funding route with the appropriate professional before signing a contract or starting construction. Some planning services may be permitted beforehand.
Does every renovation receive a 20% grant?
No. Funding and eligible expenditure depend on the measure, building, renovation roadmap and application date, among other factors. The current official conditions should be checked before making a financial decision.
What is an iSFP?
An individual renovation roadmap is an energy assessment of your residential building by an appropriately authorised professional. It identifies suitable upgrades and a possible sequence. Any additional funding bonus has separate eligibility conditions.
Which supporting documents are required?
Depending on the route, BAFA may require a technical project description (TPB) and technical project record (TPN). KfW programmes may require an application confirmation (BzA) and confirmation after completion (BnD). Responsibility and paperwork depend on the specific programme.
Who provides energy advice?
The energy assessment and any necessary confirmations are provided by an energy efficiency professional authorised for the relevant programme. Responsibilities and the scope of services are agreed transparently before commissioning.
